I am thinking to follow the project that was launched by National Geographic on April 2005. Really curious about migration pattern that has been taken by my ancestor. Did they Tibetian or Niger? Likely I need my father’s favor to do this.

This is a dilemmatic project especially when political reasons step in. In the scientific view, this project will of course unlock the secrets of the past that pass on thru generations. Of course every information unlocked from every piece of genetic material is useful for the improvement of humankind.
But that’s not the end of the story. In the political view, the sampling of genetic materials like this should be controlled by international organisations or bodies to prevent it from being monopolised by a certain govt. So, no one will benefit from it for their own personal purposes, instead all kind of informations collected from this project must be accessible worldwide and everybody can benefit from it for as free as possible.
Now you see, that’s why China restricts the sampling of DNA materials from their people. They are worried if the United States will monopolise the information for their own purposes…..

Yeah, I am also thinking about who’s who behind all of these, that’s why I need sometimes to make a decision…. accessible for everyone is impossible things. May be I could fulfill my curiosity –how to prove their examination is right?..but at the end this org or whatever behind it;- are the one who get the benefit.
