Redemption Song
I began to listen to Bob Marley and the Wailers on 90 something. There are some songs that remain in my heart until now. “Redemption Song” is one of my favorite. Sometimes, I whisper a part of its lyrics into my soul.
Won’t you help to sing
These songs of freedom? -
‘Cause all I ever have:
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs.
Perhaps, cause I need a bit of freedom while I am bit younger (actually the fact is my life is very fun, my parents are so kind and flexible). Perhaps again, it’s all about what the people said about young blood. Actually it’s common thing. Other reason is I was active in some study groups while in University which is has a lot of discourses (from politics to religion). It enriches my self and I don’t know why then it is such giving me a free minded boosting. Then Bob Marley gives me a support
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our minds.
Have no fear for atomic energy,
‘Cause none of them can stop the time.
…….
Now, I saw many people would like to please others in every way. If it is necessary they will sell their soul very cheap and sometimes their religions were pawned too. I am so so sad… it’s like consciousness mind slavery.
Old pirates, yes, they rob I;
Sold I to the merchant ships,
Minutes after they took I
From the bottomless pit.
But my hand was made strong
By the ‘and of the Almighty.
We forward in this generation
Triumphantly.
Won’t you help to sing
These songs of freedom? -
‘Cause all I ever have:
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs.Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our minds.
Have no fear for atomic energy,
‘Cause none of them can stop the time.
How long shall they kill our prophets,
While we stand aside and look? Ooh!
Some say it’s just a part of it:
We’ve got to fulfill the book.Won’t you help to sing
These songs of freedom? -
‘Cause all I ever have:
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs;
Redemption songs.

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery;
None but ourselves can free our mind.
Wo! Have no fear for atomic energy,
‘Cause none of them-a can-a stop-a the time.
How long shall they kill our prophets,
While we stand aside and look?
Yes, some say it’s just a part of it:
We’ve got to fulfill the book.
Won’t you help to sing
This songs of freedom? -
‘Cause all I ever had:
Redemption songs -
All I ever had:
Redemption songs:
These songs of freedom,
Songs of freedom.
This song becomes my exile. It is refresher of my mind as if you take a deep breath….
A musing within lunch time today..
