Shannon & Weaver Model
Claude Elwood Shannon and his co-author Warren Weaver developed a communication model as;-

This is model of two ways communications. The point of view of this model is how to have succesful encoding and decoding process in communications.
In human communications the transmitter is the communicator’s mouth, the verbal, voice, and body language’s of the communicator is the signal, and the ears of the other person are the transmitter. The communicator sends the message to the other person. This message encodes and send it trough the air. During the message delivery, there are some distortions such as noise, and environment distortions that could make miscommunications. While this message receives by the other person, he/she has to decode it into the meaning. Both sender and receiver have responsibility to ensure that communication is success, such as by re-asking.
The details of this theory are founded easily in internet. If you want to enhance it, you can start from Wiki.
